Diagnostic Technician – Chapelhouse Blackpool (Suzuki, OMODA & JAECOO)

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based at Chapelhouse Blackpool for an experienced Diagnostic Technician. The successful candidate will play a key role within our busy workshop, carrying out advanced diagnostics, repairs, servicing and maintenance across both petrol and electric vehicles while ensuring work is completed to the highest manufacturer standards.

Working closely with the Aftersales Manager, Service Advisors and fellow Technicians, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving complex vehicle faults, supporting workshop efficiency and helping deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on Suzuki, OMODA and JAECOO vehicles.
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on both petrol and electric vehicles.
  • Perform manufacturer software updates, coding, programming and vehicle calibrations.
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and rectify faults.
  • Complete vehicle health checks and provide detailed reports on required repairs.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
  • Support workshop colleagues with technical guidance where required.
  • Maintain accurate job records and comply with warranty procedures.
  • Keep up to date with manufacturer training and emerging vehicle technologies.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve workshop productivity and customer satisfaction targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Diagnostic Technician with proven dealership experience.
  • EV Qualification is essential.
  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Strong electrical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
