Bolton (North West Patch)

Are you a Service Engineer with experience working on diesel-powered equipment looking for a varied role split between workshop and field work, offering specialist training on bespoke pumping systems and clear progression into a Foreman position?

This specialist pumping solutions provider supplies high-performance pump hire equipment and engineered fluid handling systems to the construction, mining, utilities, and industrial sectors. They support critical operations such as dewatering, wastewater management, and flood control with energy-efficient, heavy-duty pumping solutions trusted by contractors, infrastructure providers, and environmental operators across the UK.

In this role, you will split your time between the depot workshop and field-based service work across the East Midlands. In the workshop, you will prepare, inspect, service and repair diesel-driven pumping equipment ready for hire. In the field, you will carry out installation, servicing, and reactive maintenance on pump systems at customer sites. You will diagnose faults on diesel engines and pump systems, ensuring equipment remains reliable and operational. Standard working hours are 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
