Dietetic Assistant
Dietetic Assistant - Inpatient Nutritional Support
We are looking to recruit a Dietetic Assistant who wishes to develop their skills in supporting patients who require nutritional support during their inpatient stay.
About the Role
- You will work under the direct supervision of the Dietitians
- Assist with clinical information collection for dietetic assessment
- Implement and monitor nutritional recommendations made by dietitians
- Educate healthcare teams on first-line nutrition support strategies
- Assist in training newly recruited dietitians to settle into the team
- Support quality improvement and audit work
Key Responsibilities
- Support inpatient assessments and reviews for patients at risk of malnutrition
- Manage your own caseload, liaising with Dietetic and Ward staff
- Train ward-based staff on malnutrition risk identification and treatment
- All tasks undertaken under supervision by Qualified Dietetic Staff

Department Overview
- You will report to the Acute Team Leaders
- The department consists of three teams (Acute, Community, and Diabetic)
- A total of 24 staff, including support and administrative teams
- Provides integrated care across our Hospital and Community sites for the Bolton population
