Role Description
This part-time, on-site Dietitian role is based in Parklands Hospital - Basingstoke within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Dietitian will assess the nutritional needs of individuals and groups, develop evidence-based care plans, and provide tailored dietary advice to support health, recovery, and long-term condition management. - Conducting nutritional assessments
- Delivering medical nutrition therapy
- Supporting weight management initiatives
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition into overall care plans
The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, contributing to service development, and participating in education and training activities for patients, carers, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Dietetics and Nutrition and be able to apply current evidence-based guidelines in clinical practice.
- Candidates should possess skills in Nutritional Counseling, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and support behavior change.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy, including clinical assessment, care planning, and monitoring outcomes across a range of conditions.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Weight Management, including designing and implementing individualized and group interventions.

Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Dietetics or equivalent, registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and experience in community or hospital-based settings are beneficial.
