Dietetic Assistant (Fixed-Term, 12 Months) – The Royal Surrey Hospital
About The Role
A full-time, fixed-term opportunity (12 months) has arisen for an enthusiastic individual keen to develop their clinical dietetic skills, to join our proactive, multidisciplinary team of 46 at The Royal Surrey Hospital.
This role offers unparalleled experience supporting very experienced specialist dietitians and is ideal for those looking to launch or enhance their career in dietetics. Working alongside a visionary team, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within the established medical dietetic teams, providing multidisciplinary support to both inpatients and outpatients
- Assist in vital patient care, including MUST screening initiatives and multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration
- Contribute to service improvement projects by proposing efficiency enhancements with initiative and creativity
- Join our innovative audit and research culture, promoting clinical excellence in patient care
- Support dietetic student training, including work with University of Surrey and University of Winchester students
- Coordinate and contribute to clinical teaching and dissertation supervision for students

Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a dietitian
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development
- Eagerness to develop clinical skills in a medical dietetics environment
- Strong initiative, proactive mindset, and enthusiasm for service improvement
