Dig Team
Department: ENW Location: Kendal
Description
As a Dig Team on the ENW contract, some of your duties to include: All trenching works, duct laying, cable laying Excavation of joint bays for new connections/disconnections on various HV/LV projects Excavations to accommodate/replace Linkboxes Backfilling of works in private fields which have limited access for grab vehicles. All works undertaken to adhere to HSG47 guidelines and to client specification.
You will be competent in working on Utilities Civils projects. You will be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your gang on adopting a “right first time” policy.
You will work with the scheduling team ensuring programmes are met and delivered accordingly. You will provide support to ensure that the company’s work is effectively completed through communication with internal and external customers, as well as focusing on the customer’s needs

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:
Have excellent knowledge of site safety and site set ups; with the public and team members welfare being essential. Have the knowledge and experience of working on utility projects Maintain a customer focus whilst working Have good timekeeping and good housekeeping with tools and equipment. Use Modular Plus/Depotnet(smartphone system) to deliver all feedback for commercial and, where necessary, reinstatement feedback Liaise with the Support Services and Street works Team to ensure that FPN and Section74 liabilities are managed and focus on a right first-time attitude
Experience and Qualifications
NRSWRA Operative Deep excavations (preferred but not essential) Mini excavator up to 10 tonne/above beneficial Full UK Driving Licence with towing capacity for digger Safe Dig/Cable avoidance accreditation (EUSR Preferred) Manual Handling First Aid Abrasive wheels
