Account Manager (Digital Marketing) - West Midlands, UK - £Competative

Are you an experienced Account Manager who loves building long-term client relationships? Do you enjoy working across a portfolio of client accounts whilst being part of one ambitious, growing business? If you're looking for a fully remote opportunity where you can take ownership of your clients, build trusted partnerships and help grow accounts, this could be the perfect next step.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary. Unfortunately, we are unable to advertise the salary bracket, but full transparency will be provided to fitting candidates. The role offers remote working, with a laptop and phone provided.

Whilst this is a remote-first business, the team genuinely enjoy getting together. They meet as a business once a quarter, as well as arranging the occasional team coffee catch-up, so it's important you're able to access the West Midlands easily.

The Company

This is an opportunity to join the in-house marketing agency of a ground-breaking business within its sector. Supporting a portfolio of retained clients, the team delivers innovative digital marketing strategies that help businesses grow their local business whilst building long-term, trusted partnerships.

Predominantly they deliver lead generation strategies, through multiple online touchpoints, to include PPC, Social, SEO and Web.

They are housed with Paid, SEO, Social, Dev and Design specialists, Ops/Project Management and leadership team.

The Role

As Account Manager, you'll become the main point of contact for your own portfolio of clients, taking ownership of day-to-day relationships and ensuring every client receives an exceptional service. This is a newly created role, where you’ll join as their first Account Manager and become a key player in this growing function. You'll work closely with internal teams (PPC, SEO, Social, Web) to keep projects on track, communicate campaign performance and identify opportunities to grow client accounts.

Specifically, you will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for your own portfolio of clients, managing all day-to-day communication.
  • Lead onboarding meetings, regular client calls and performance review meetings with confidence.
  • Build trusted, long-term client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and client retention.
  • Keep clients informed on campaign progress, performance and the impact of the work being delivered.
  • Prepare and present clear, results-focused reports, demonstrating campaign performance and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services where they'll genuinely benefit your clients.
  • Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure campaigns are progressing in line with agreed objectives.
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities and recommendations before your clients need to ask.
  • Maintain accurate client records whilst effectively managing multiple accounts.

About You

  • Previous experience in an Account Manager, Client Services or similar client-facing role, within an agency or in-house agency.
  • Confident leading client meetings, presentations and regular account reviews.
  • A solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including areas such as SEO, PPC, social media and content marketing.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility.
  • Commercially minded, with experience identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts. Confident in talking revenue and ROI!
  • Highly organised and able to successfully manage multiple clients and priorities.
  • Experience managing local marketing lead gen projects.
  • A highly proactive approach, always thinking ahead and anticipating client needs.
  • Experience within the dental sector would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
