About the Role
We are recruiting for a Digital Advanced Network and Telecoms Engineer who shares our mission to deliver consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients, championing our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve.
You will support monitoring, reporting, and maintaining telecoms systems, network switches, and devices, ensuring patching levels are up to date and documenting action plans for resolutions.
Responsibilities
Technical Support & Maintenance
- Monitor and report on all telecoms systems, network switches, and devices
- Maintain patching levels for hardware and software
- Document action plans for resolution of technical issues
Project & Service Delivery
- Collaborate with the project lead on new projects/programmes and BAU upgrades from a third-line perspective
- Support the delivery of new and changed network and telecoms services
- Assist the Digital Networks and Telecoms Lead in ensuring quality implementation and service support, compliant with NHS, government, and industry standards
- Work as part of the on-call out-of-hours rota for the networks and telecoms team

Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving
- Review helpdesk support calls to identify repetitive problems and develop efficiency-improving solutions
- Contribute to and update a "Knowledge base" to ensure past solutions are referenced for future, faster resolutions
- Participate in team, project, or relevant meetings where the role’s expertise is required
Security & Compliance
- Ensure network and telecoms hardware and software meet Trust, NHS, and industry security requirements
- Assist in trust projects while delivering against an agreed work plan
