Social Media and Digital Executive

40 hours, 5 days per week

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Social Media and Digital Executive is responsible for the following duties:

  • Maintain and update the hotel website, ensuring content is accurate, optimised, and on-brand.
  • Create and manage campaign landing pages.
  • Support the digital marketing team to ensure paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and other platforms are kept up to date with relevant content and images.
  • Work with agency partners where applicable.
  • Develop and lead the hotel’s social media strategy aligned with brand positioning and commercial goals.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the hotels social media channels, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, community management and maintaining a consistently elevated brand presence across all platforms.
  • Develop and manage integrated social media and content calendars aligned to key campaigns, seasonal activity, partnerships, hotel moments and wider commercial priorities.
  • Own the hotel’s digital storytelling across social platforms, creating and curating compelling content that strengthens brand awareness, supports audience growth and reinforces Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London’s positioning at the crossroads of art, fashion and culture.
  • Plan, coordinate and support high-quality visual and written content production across photography, video and short-form content, ensuring assets are delivered on time and used effectively across social, website, CRM and campaign activity.
  • Lead content shoots (photo/video), including concept development, shot lists, and coordination with internal teams and external creatives.
  • Work closely with Marketing, PR, Sales, F&B and operational teams to identify storytelling opportunities that support business objectives, drive outlet visibility and contribute to guest acquisition and revenue generation.
  • Monitor trends and proactively adapt content to remain culturally and visually relevant.
  • Drive community engagement, responding to comments and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, growth) and optimise strategy accordingly.
  • Identify and manage relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand partners.
  • Oversee collaborations from briefing through to execution and reporting.
  • Ensure partnerships align with brand values and deliver measurable impact.
  • Track and evaluate ROI and earned media value.
  • Oversee and contribute to written content including:
    • Website copy
    • Social captions
    • Email campaigns
  • Plan and execute targeted email campaigns and newsletters.
  • Working closely with the Revenue Team maintain OTA listings with compelling descriptions and imagery.

Requirements

To be a successful Digital Marketing & Social Manager candidate, you will have strong organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail. You will showcase excellent communication and have a strong copywriting, editorial and storytelling capability.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience within luxury hospitality, luxury travel, fashion, lifestyle or cultural brands and experience in leading shoots, managing creators and coordinating content production.
