Be part of something exceptional
At Galliford Try, we build, maintain and improve the UK’s critical infrastructure. Our Environment Business delivers essential projects that protect communities, safeguard natural resources and improve the nation’s water infrastructure.
Operating across the UK, from the South West of England to the Highlands of Scotland, we work with all 13 of the UK’s major water and sewerage companies, alongside public and private sector clients, delivering innovative solutions that address ageing infrastructure, climate resilience, environmental challenges and increasing regulatory demands.
As one of the UK’s leading construction businesses, we’re committed to delivering lasting value through innovation, collaboration and sustainable delivery.
The Role
We’re looking for a Digital Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in driving digital delivery across our Environment projects.
As client digital and information management requirements continue to evolve, you’ll ensure projects consistently meet contractual digital obligations while championing best practice in Building Information Modelling (BIM), information management and digital construction technologies.
Working closely with project teams, clients and internal stakeholders, you’ll lead the implementation of digital processes, support the adoption of innovative technologies and ensure high-quality digital delivery from project mobilisation through to handover.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of digital construction across one of the UK’s largest infrastructure businesses.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Digital Construction Manager, you’ll:
- Lead the interpretation and implementation of client digital and BIM requirements, ensuring compliance with contractual information management standards.
- Act as the primary interface with client digital teams, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment throughout project delivery.
- Develop, manage and oversee Information Execution Plans (IEPs), BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Information Delivery Plans (IDPs) and asset information requirements.
- Support and standardise digital handover processes, ensuring all deliverables are complete, compliant and meet client expectations.
- Mobilise and deploy digital initiatives and pilot technologies across live construction projects.
- Provide onboarding, coaching and training to project teams, driving consistent adoption of digital tools and processes.
- Support project teams in managing structured data, asset information and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with Galliford Try’s digital strategy, governance and information management processes.
- Collaborate with project leadership, information managers, design teams and supply chain partners to ensure consistent digital delivery.
- Monitor digital risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Undertake quality assurance reviews of digital information before client submission.
- Capture and analyse data from digital pilots, identifying lessons learned and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with technology providers to configure systems, resolve issues and optimise digital solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
