Location: Glasgow
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 FTE (£12,000 pro rata for 2 days per week), dependent on experience and with flexibility for the right candidate.
About The Role
The Glasgow Academy is seeking a creative and highly skilled Digital Content Creator to join our dynamic External Relations team. This is an exciting opportunity for a digital storyteller who can bring our school’s values, achievements, and community to life across multiple platforms.
As Digital Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging, high-quality content that showcases the Academy’s people, stories, and strategic priorities. You will work across video, photography, social media, web, and digital campaigns — ensuring our content is fresh, compelling, and aligned with our brand.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Marketing, Admissions, Alumni Relations, and Fundraising, supporting a wide range of projects including events, campaigns, pupil achievements, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality digital content including video, photography, graphics, and social media assets.
- Plan, storyboard, film, edit, and publish video content for internal and external audiences.
- Capture and curate photography that reflects the life and energy of the Academy.
- Manage and grow the Academy’s social media presence across key platforms.
- Support digital campaigns for admissions, fundraising, alumni engagement, and school events.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and visual identity.
- Work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and external partners to gather stories and produce engaging digital material.
- Monitor analytics and use insights to improve content performance.
About You
You will bring:
- Strong skills in video production, editing, and digital storytelling.
- Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms.
- A creative eye for photography, composition, and visual design.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar editing tools.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Confidence working with pupils, staff, and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative, and imaginative approach.
