Role Overview

This is a hands-on digital content marketing role at the centre of our commercial team in Melbourn. You'll turn campaign strategy into the content that wins us attention: technical SEO copy, landing pages, video, social and paid media, all aimed at the customers who use our lab automation products.

Day to day, you'll build and test pages in HubSpot, produce multimedia assets and get involved in the forums and communities where our customers actually talk. If you want to see your work published, measured and improved week by week, this is that kind of role.

About Us

Based in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. SPT Labtech makes products that transform the way scientists work. For decades, our expert scientists, engineers and business innovators have provided scientists with world-leading, innovative solutions for liquid handling, sample preparation, and sample management that help accelerate research and make a real difference to human health. We work collaboratively with our customers, building trusted relationships that enable us to deliver exceptional, personalised experiences designed for real-world challenges in the lab.

Want to be part of a team that’s truly making a difference?

Key Responsibilities

  • Forum & AEO search disruption: actively monitor, seed and engage within industry-relevant user forums, Reddit, LinkedIn groups and digital networks. Position SPT Labtech content as an authoritative voice to capture organic search (SEO) and answer engine optimisation (AEO) traffic heavily populated by competitors.
  • Web optimisation & execution: rapidly build, launch and test new landing pages and campaign destinations in the website CMS (WordPress/HubSpot), optimising user journeys for organic lead capture.
  • Paid & growth marketing campaigns: execute and optimise tactical paid ad spend across digital networks (LinkedIn, Google Search, YouTube, X) based on strategic target personas defined by the Campaign Manager.
  • Community & advocacy cultivation: establish and run digital contributor or brand ambassador initiatives that use the voice of scientists, engineers and current customers to drive peer-to-peer engagement.
  • Digital content & asset production: script, film, edit and publish high-quality, sophisticated multimedia assets (videos, technical blog posts, newsletters and landing pages) to support global campaigns and product repositioning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
