Digital Creative Director
We are looking for a creative, strategic and entrepreneurial Digital Creative Director with at least 10 years’ experience and strong visual storytelling skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic international team, deliver excellence for our clients, and to help grow a successful creative department at a unique, agenda-setting agency: all of our clients are leading nationally or internationally on clean energy and different aspects of environmental sustainability. Please note we are looking for someone who can join us at one of our main offices in Europe or the U.S.
Responsibilities and Scope
- Leadership of creative projects with considered, informed and inspiring creative direction
- Development and management of all aspects of the team creative design output
- Ensure that creative solutions are aligned to client expectations and delivered within budget and timescales. This includes concept creation, pitching designs, creating content and understanding client needs
- Hands-on design creation, primarily focusing on the graphic design of presentations, websites, brochures, reports, newsletters, social media assets, other digital content, and logo development
- Deliver solutions to support new business development and agency marketing – overseeing production of proposals, managing the website, production of thought leadership content, and social content assets
- Championing design-led thinking across the agency and serving as an ambassador for the creative department to clients
- Developing best practices with the team and creating a confident, inquisitive, inspiring and positive culture

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in a design related subject or equivalent job experience
- 10+ years’ experience in a design role
- Min. 5 years’ experience working at an agency
- Experience operating in different languages and cultural situations – ideally in the U.S., U.K., Europe, and APAC
- Demonstrable experience of contributing to social or environmental sustainability or for clean energy clients
- Expert understanding of key graphic design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, PowerPoint, Keynote, as well as Canva and other online editing tools
- Strong commercial awareness to monitor cost effectiveness of service delivery
- Strong organizational abilities – of yourself and others, making all necessary logistical arrangements to achieve your objectives; manage, troubleshoot, review and provide feedback to freelancers and internal design support
- Ability to understand technical topics and translate through visual design for all relevant online and offline platforms
- Strong attention to detail

- Experience managing WordPress websites
- Experience in website design or guiding digital product development
