Digital Delivery Engineer
Digital Delivery Engineer – Middlesbrough (A66 Project)
About The Role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Digital Delivery Engineer to join our growing team in Middlesbrough for the A66 project.
As a Digital Delivery Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and facilitating the successful embedment of digital tools and processes across Highways schemes. Collaboration with the wider Digital team will help establish you as a subject matter expert in digital tools and processes.
You will develop strong project-level relationships with stakeholders and users while fostering a deep understanding of digital transformation and delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Capture, document, and feedback lessons learned from the success (or failure) of digital tools, processes, and their implementations
- Gather and document additional requirements and feedback from teams
- Ensure digital tools and products are successfully rolled out across multiple schemes
- Lead digital implementation of products and processes on projects across the UK
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with project stakeholders and supply chain partners
- Ensure subject matter expert (SME) representation in digital initiatives
- Conduct planning and rollout strategies for digital tools on local schemes
- Enforce best practices and processes related to digital standards
- Drive adoption of established digital minimum expectations across all local projects
- Own the deployment of digital tools on new projects
- Track and report on the adoption and performance of digital tools
- Develop processes, and promote a digital culture using technology across customers, regions, and sectors—aligned with Balfour Beatty’s Built to Last principles, fostering a Digital Balfour Beatty

Who We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
✔ Recognised construction industry experience ✔ Proven experience in using digital tools and processes ✔ Ability to lead the use of digital software applications and train others ✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills ✔ Experience delivering in a collaborative manner under time pressure ✔ Proficient in IT and digital tools ✔ Ability to form effective relationships with project teams and supply chain partners ✔ Multitasking skills
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
✨ Understanding of the Design, Construction, and Asset Management stages in the digital lifecycle
