Job Summary
It takes all types of people to help NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) deliver services that save and improve lives.
As a Digital Delivery Executive, you’ll play an important role in maintaining and improving the digital channels that support donors across the UK. Working with colleagues, technical teams and external suppliers, you’ll coordinate testing, manage digital changes, support accessibility and compliance, and help ensure our websites and digital services are reliable, effective and user-focused.
Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality online experiences for donors while helping NHSBT meet accessibility, quality and data protection standards. Main duties of the job
As a Digital Delivery Executive Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Help deliver reliable and effective donor-facing digital services that support NHSBT’s life-saving work.
- Coordinate and carry out testing activities for digital releases and enhancements, helping ensure services are ready for users and meet quality standards.
- Work with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver digital improvements and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Gather requirements and create user stories, acceptance criteria and test documentation that help deliver valuable digital change.
- Use your accessibility expertise to help make NHSBT’s digital services inclusive and accessible for everyone.
- Support compliance with data protection, cookie consent and digital governance requirements, helping maintain trust and confidence in our services.
- Monitor digital performance and use insight and data to identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Share specialist knowledge and provide guidance that helps colleagues develop their digital skills and deliver consistently high-quality services.
About You
Experience and Knowledge
- Substantial experience in a digital delivery, digital operations, or web/content management role within a complex organisation.
- Proven experience in coordinating with IT/development teams and third-party agencies to deliver digital services, changes or fixes.
- Working knowledge and practical experience of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and best practices for creating accessible digital services.
- Working knowledge and practical experience of Data Protection (GDPR) and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR) particularly concerning website cookie compliance and consent management.
- Experience in creating details requirements documentation, such as user stories, acceptance criteria and test scripts.

Qualifications And Training
- Educated to degree level plus specialist knowledge and experience; or a postgraduate diploma in a relevant field; or significant demonstrable experience equivalent to postgraduate level in a relevant discipline.

This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
