The opportunity
UKTT serves as the dedicated delivery strategy and transformation hub within the Handelsbanken Plc, focused on the successful and controlled delivery of our modernisation and growth agenda. Sitting within the bank’s technology function the team works to optimise the delivery of value to meet our customers’ needs and the bank’s business objectives, deliver the bank’s strategic modernisation and transformation goals, and move to modern scalable technologies.
We have a varied programme of modernisation including a roadmap of changes to our core capabilities delivered through a combination of third party and in-house built and managed services. Our in-house services and integrations are built with React and Java technologies. Our delivery teams are cross-functional with roles from across our business departments as required to achieve their outcomes.
The successful applicant for this role will support one of our delivery teams on a project to deliver change across our credit, lending or financial crime services, acting as the delivery manager alongside the product owner and technical lead. Our teams work in an agile manner and this role will focus on supporting the team to ensure they maintain focus on agile values, have the resources they need as a team to be successful, and are constantly inspecting their ways of working to identify and experiment with improvements. Our teams work within a wider work stream structure and you will be expected to contribute to the ongoing needs of the work stream in terms of visibility, transparency and improvement.

Key responsibilities
- Support the delivery team to achieve their outcomes within the committed timescales, balancing pragmatic decision making with the rigours of the Handelsbanken change governance and controls framework.
- Manage the financial, capacity and progress tracking for the delivery team, working as part of a wider workstream of similar teams, and providing transparency to support the workstream lead with updates and governance needs.
- Working with the product owner and technical lead, support the delivery team to prioritise work against the team’s stated outcomes, measure progress towards the outcomes, and manage risks to achieving the outcomes.
- Support the delivery team to organise their work, identify and resolve impediments and identify and manage dependencies with other internal Handelsbanken teams and external supplier teams.
- Support our enduring team model, guiding the delivery team members through the full delivery lifecycle (from discovery to live service) for their prioritised backlog items.
- Maintain the team’s focus on feedback, learning and continual improvement, encouraging and supporting experimentation with ways of working and ensuring lessons learnt are understood and acted on.
- Work across the bank to ensure alignment with product direction and strategic architecture and promote a secure by design mindset.
- Manage and evolve team stakeholder relationships that are needed for successful delivery.

Necessary Skills
- Experience of successful delivery in Financial Services, or other regulated industry sector, with multi-disciplinary delivery teams
- Experience in complex and phased project delivery including data migration, system integration and live service running
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has the ability to build teams, strengthen relationships and establish effective networks with stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Experience in both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
- Experience with Atlassian or other similar planning and collaboration toolsets
Desirable Skills
- Experience with credit, lending or financial crime business processes and digital services
- Growth mindset and outcome focused
- Agile and / or Project Management qualifications
