Community Engagement and Digital Support Officer – Family Hubs Team

Family Hubs Team, West Northamptonshire Council

An exciting and unique opportunity to join our Family Hubs team, playing a key role in connecting directly with families and communities across West Northamptonshire.

About the Role

This is not a traditional marketing or digital role. While digital and online content contribute to the position, the core of this role is working intimately with people. You will engage with communities, build meaningful relationships, and understand需求, ensuring people access the right support.

  • Focus areas:
    • Early intervention—supporting families before crises arise
    • Face-to-face and digital communication, tailored to needs
    • Ensuring our services remain accessible, relevant, and impactful for all communities we serve

As a hybrid role, expect regular travel across Family Hub locations (Towcester, Daventry, and other sites).

Key Responsibilities

The role is highly outward-facing, requiring deep engagement with people, services, and partners while shaping digital and communicational approaches. You will:

Community Engagement & Support

  • Spend significant time in Family Hubs and local communities, speaking with families—including those who may be vulnerable or harder to reach
  • Build trusting, lasting relationships across diverse demographics, listening to needs and challenges
  • Clarify services and confidently signpost individuals to the right support, both in-person and online
  • Collaborate with practitioners and partners to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement
  • Gather community insights to shape service development and reach underserved groups

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
