Mode Search are partnering with a globally recognised organisation in the search for a Global Director, Digital Strategy.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of digital strategy for a globally recognised brand. Reporting directly to the Global Chief Marketing Officer, you will define and lead the organisation's global digital strategy, ensuring the brand remains visible, trusted and influential in an increasingly AI-driven world.
Working closely with senior leadership across Marketing, Communications and Creative, you will drive digital transformation, search strategy, AI innovation and digital intelligence, helping the organisation stay ahead of changing consumer behaviours and emerging technologies.
The Role
- Develop and lead the global digital strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term organisational priorities.
- Shape an integrated digital approach across North America, Europe, India, China and future growth markets.
- Embed digital strategy into global campaigns, partnerships, launches and key strategic initiatives.
- Lead the organisation's Search, AI and Digital Authority strategy, ensuring the brand remains highly discoverable and trusted across search engines, AI assistants and emerging platforms.
- Develop strategies that improve digital authority, strengthen information quality and combat online misinformation.
- Build strategic partnerships with specialist digital agencies, technology partners and platform providers.
- Monitor developments in AI, search technologies and consumer behaviour, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of digital innovation.
- Establish digital intelligence and measurement frameworks, translating data and insights into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Drive organisational digital capability, embedding best practice, governance and operating standards across global teams.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Communications and Creative leadership to deliver best-in-class digital experiences.
- Lead, develop and inspire the Global Digital Strategy function, fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Significant senior leadership experience in digital strategy, digital transformation or digital performance within a complex global organisation.
- Proven experience developing digital strategies that combine technology, data, AI and customer experience.
- Deep expertise in search, SEO, AI search, LLM optimisation and digital discoverability.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies, AI platforms and evolving digital ecosystems.
- Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programmes and organisational change.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to translate digital insight into business strategy.
- Experience managing digital agencies, technology partners and complex stakeholder environments.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for innovation, emerging technologies and shaping the future of digital strategy.
