Overview
- Location: York or Gatwick
- Hybrid working model: Minimum 2 days per week in the office

Position Summary
About the Role
Nestlé seeks a Digital Commerce Intelligence Manager—a high-impact strategist bridging UK customer demands, trading environments, and leading global brands. Your work will shape next-gen digital commerce intelligence, unifying retailer data, retail media, category insights, and commercial performance into a seamless, governed ecosystem. This is not a reporting role—it’s about turning data into growth.

Core Responsibilities
Your impact will drive better commercial decisions across Nestlé UK’s relational tables. Key contributions:
- Lead digital commerce data strategy and operating model, ensuring alignment with retailer+/retail media, activation and business outcomes
- Enhance transparency of Nestlé’s digital commerce investments:
- Visibility on what’s purchased, who utilises it, and impact delivered
- Strengthen partnerships with retailers, retail media networks and platforms by optimizing:
- Data access, automation, API connectivity
- Measurement quality and insight generation speed
- Design scalable standards for end-to-end data transformation (retail/mediabcrosswalks to Nestlé’s hierarchies)
- Define and implement a consistent KPI framework covering: Traffic, search visibility, content quality, availability, pricing, promotions, conversions, retail media, sales, share and return on investment
- Lead a roadmap for future capabilities:
- Transition from retrospective reporting to predictive analytics
- Development of automated alerts, conversational analytics, and agentic-commerce solutions
- Turn complex data into actionable insights that power winning performance across the UK digital shelf
Your Ingredients for Success
required expertise:
- Commercial + data fluency with strong stakeholder influence
- Experience in: digital commerce, commercial analytics, data strategy, retail media, customer analytics
Key Traits:
- Ability to translate data into growth opportunities
- Proven track record of building KPI frameworks, dashboards, insight products, or analytics roadmaps
- Agility to deliver across Commercial, IT, Data, Finance, Category, Brand and Zone teams
- Retail and digital shelf athlete with retail media/e-commerce data mastery
- Handling ambiguity by establishing new capabilities in early-stage environments
- Innovative mindset with a forward-looking curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging tools

Technical Capabilities
No need to be a data engineer—but strong credibility in shaping systems is mandatory.
Key proficiency areas:
- Exploring & analysing data via BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Preparation & automation with platforms like Alteryx or TribeSQL
- SQL, including querying large datasets
- Cloud expertise: Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, GCP
- Data modeling, taxonomy, governance, quality checks
- APIs, automated pipelines, data ingestion fundamentals
- Retail/retail media/eCommerce analytics experience
- Understanding of commercial AI and predictive analytics use cases
The strongest candidates bridge the gap between technical and business language, converting strategy into clear data and decision-ready outputs.
