Quest Global
About the Organisation
Quest Global is a pioneering engineering services firm, combining deep domain expertise and cutting-edge innovation across seven industries. Operating for over 25 years, we are committed to shaping a centenary future, united by aspiration, humility, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
We seek humble geniuses—innovators who believe engineering can turn the impossible into possible. As part of a globally diverse engineering team, you’ll engineer not just technology, but a brighter future for all. Our culture thrives on collective success: When you win, we all win. When you learn, we all grow.
Role Overview
As a Digital Hardware Engineer, you’ll design, commission, and test high-speed digital electronics hardware, including Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCA) for airborne Radar systems. Your work will drive robust, high-performance solutions for Fortune 500 customers, contributing to mission-critical technologies.
Core Responsibilities
- Design Excellence:
- Develop high-quality, high-speed digital hardware designs compliant with industry standards.
- Ensure designs are functional, reliable, and optimised for complex aerospace/deployment environments.
- Document deliverables meticulously, including schematics, block diagrams, and design specifications.
- Verification & Test:
- Support integration and verification activities at both hardware and system levels, including:
- Functional and timing analysis.
- SPICE and/or schematic simulations.
- Conduct Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analyses to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) and signal degradation.
- Support integration and verification activities at both hardware and system levels, including:
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Engage closely with PCB layout engineers, providing expertise on high-speed design rules (e.g., controlled impedance, trace length matching).
- Coordinate technical activities, liaising between digital hardware leads, firmware/software teams, and manufacturing/production.
- Act as a trusted advisor to systems engineers, translating technical requirements into hardware solutions.
- Manufacturing & Compliance:
- Work with external suppliers and internal production teams to ensure seamless component sourcing and assembly quality.
- Maintain designs under configuration control, adhering to defence industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-160).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
