Digital Energy Market Lead
Senior Digital Energy Market Lead – UK Role
At Arup
Arup’s purpose, shared values, and collaborative approach have shaped our legacy for over 80 years. We’re seeking a Senior Digital Energy Market Lead to accelerate our growth in the UK, fostering strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across Transmission & Distribution, Molecular Solutions, and Renewables.
The Opportunity
A strategic leadership role for a seasoned consultant who blends deep energy sector expertise, digital transformation excellence, and commercial drive with Arup’s technical authority, multidisciplinary insight, and unwavering values.
Ideal for partners or senior directors from consulting or advisory firms seeking to transition beyond standard transformation consulting. This opportunity allows you to build a unique advisory practice underpinned by world-class engineering, design, digital, and sustainability capabilities.
We’re searching for a highly motivated, commercially savvy, and technically astute leader with experience in digital advisory and strong external networks—someone who can develop, pitch, and deliver digital energy solutions from strategy to commercialisation.
You’ll take accountability and ownership for curating digital advisory services, leading projects from inception to hand-off, and cultivating both internal and external client relationships to secure pipeline growth.
This hybrid role balances market leadership with project delivery, reporting to the Global Digital Energy Leader (Simon Evans) and embedded within Arup’s National Digital Services Portfolio—a gold standard team supporting clients through digital evolution.
Join a collaborative culture where innovation meets accountability: a global practice with local impact, owned by ambitious professionals who shape a better world through their work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
