The brand and marketing team is responsible for communications to influence and engage our varied external audiences. We use a range of public-facing channels including social media, website, blogs, events, and paid media. We work to build brand trust and protect our reputation.
The team is part of External Affairs, a department that also has News and Political Strategy and Stakeholder Relations teams. The department acts as custodian for Citizens Advice’s brand and reputation, targeting a range of general public, decision-maker, and funder audiences through service-wide strategies that have external and political resonance. Positioning the charity as an expert and inclusive advice provider, a credible and strong advocate, and a valuable partner, we enable the progression of organisational goals and help achieve social change.

In this role, you’ll provide vital support to the Brand & Marketing team, supporting digital engagement and campaigns, including social media and content creation. This is a hands-on position where you’ll support the team by producing engaging content (written, visual, and video), writing engaging copy, and monitoring our social media channels, ensuring excellent community management. You’ll support our digital and national awareness campaigns, including Volunteers Week, National Consumer Week, and our year-round energy campaigns.
Essential Criteria:
- Highly organised, with the ability to support processes and systems such as content scheduling, community management, and team planning
- Ability and willingness to create and feature in high-quality content for digital channels including TikToks, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Including experience of using analytics to evaluate success and improve content
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at once in line with team priorities. Including a demonstrable ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with strong time management and proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Good written and oral communication skills, including proven ability to communicate using appropriate styles, methods, and timing, including digital channels, to maximise understanding and impact
