The Opportunity
As a Digital Engineering Specialist, your role will be out of the ordinary. You’ll work on a diverse range of Digital Engineering projects that deliver structured digital information essential for design, maintenance, and development of critical infrastructure.This is your chance to advance your career in a dynamic, future-focused environment while contributing to vital national needs.
Babcock offers roles for Digital Engineers, Senior Digital Engineers, and Principal Digital Engineers, specialising in expertise across:
- Information Management: 3D CAD, data management (PLM a bonus)
- BIM Management: ISO 19650 expertise
- CDE Management: Asite and general Digital Management System (DMS) experience
- Digital Rehearsal Delivery: Point Clouds, 4D simulations, VR/AR, animations

Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Managing and maintaining project data across multiple disciplines, including audits and quality checks
- Producing and maintaining project and functional procedures for consistency and compliance
- Configuring and supporting digital engineering tools across major projects, with guidance on best practice and model management
- Supporting and contributing to the wider digital strategy, leveraging emerging tools and technologies
- Collaborating with delivery partners and clients, engaging stakeholders to meet operational and strategic requirements
Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in engineering, construction, or a scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive approach to shaping your career development
Desirable Experience
- Experience in nuclear, defence, or similarly regulated sectors
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Note: Some positions are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Eligibility may depend on place of birth, nationality, citizenship, and residency.
