Digital Engineer
Digital Engineer Opportunity – Supporting Sizewell C with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA)
Help shape the UK’s energy future by joining the Digital Engineering team at Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt low-carbon power station powering 6 million homes for 60+ years.
This role is based within the Marine and Tunnels Section.
About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in engineering, modelling, and digitising critical aspects of Sizewell C’s construction, delivering high-impact digital outputs to support:
- Quantity take-off
- Visual method statements
- 4D modelling and simulations
Working closely with Digital Engineering Managers, Engineering, Planning, and Site teams, your responsibilities include:

- Producing, maintaining, and federating high-quality 3D models using Tekla Structures and complementary software
- Developing and implementing digital work methods, standards, and procedures aligned with client requirements
- Collaborating in Common Data Environments (CDEs)
- Driving digital upskilling across teams and supply chain partners

Key Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) Level 2 Standards, ISO 19650, and UK construction protocols
- Proficiency in 3D & 4D modelling tools, including:
- Tekla Structures (primary software)
- Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, or Synchro (beneficial for 5D cost estimation)
- Strong understanding of COBie asset management, design reviews, and model quality checks
- Ability to extract and manage model properties, conduct clash detection, and adhere to BIM Execution Plans
- Exposure to contractual documentation and dispute resolution in BIM-intensive environments
- Valid CSCS card (desirable)
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction digital engineering, modelling, or project modelling
- NVQ Level 3 in Construction, Engineering, or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- Collaborative aptitude – experience working with consultants, contractors, or supply chain teams
- Empathy for detail – ability to align digital outputs with client-specific deliverables
- Adaptable MS Office 365 and industrial software proficiencies
