About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Engineer/3D Modeller to join our Ground Engineering team working on the Sizewell C project based out of our offices in Nacton, Ipswich. This role is being offered on an initial 2 year fixed term contract.
Role purpose: The Digital Engineer / 3D Modeller will play a key role in the Design & Engineering team, supporting the delivery of high-quality 2D and 3D engineering models while driving digital delivery standards, BIM workflows, automation and innovative digital solutions across the project. Working closely with the BIM Manager and Design Manager, the role will help ensure design information is produced accurately, efficiently and in line with project requirements and digital standards, while also improving project efficiency through advanced modelling technologies, process optimisation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in advanced modelling and digital engineering, enhance collaboration across design and engineering teams and support the implementation of smarter, more consistent ways of working.
What you'll be doing
The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Key Accountabilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D models and design drawings for geotechnical works, including retaining walls and ground improvement techniques;
- Develop Autodesk Revit models for layouts, general arrangements, and coordination purposes;
- Produce Tekla Structures models for reinforced concrete cage detailing, shop drawings, and fabrication requirements;
- Prepare reinforced concrete and steelwork detailing in line with project specifications and relevant codes of practice;
- Ensure all digital deliverables comply with project standards, naming conventions, quality assurance procedures, and Common Data Environment requirements;
- Maintain project digital standards and support the continuous improvement of BIM processes;
- Develop digital design tools, templates, and reusable workflows to improve engineering efficiency and consistency;
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate engineering, drafting, drawing production, model updates, calculations, scheduling, and reporting workflows;
- Integrate automation solutions into BIM and CAD processes to support smarter and more efficient ways of working;
- Introduce innovative modelling workflows that reduce design cycle times and improve project delivery;
- Improve collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams through effective digital workflows;
- Provide technical support, mentoring, and training to engineers, CAD technicians, BIM teams, and junior colleagues in digital engineering tools and software.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have the following qualities, skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ advanced CAD and digital delivery experience within civil, geotechnical, structural, or infrastructure engineering;
- Advanced 3D modelling capability using Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, or equivalent software;
- Experience producing layout drawings, general arrangement models, RC detailing, cage modelling, and shop drawings;
- Strong AutoCAD skills for 2D drafting and detailed drawing production;
- High proficiency using ProjectWise or similar Common Data Environment platforms;
- Strong experience in BIM implementation, digital project delivery, and digital engineering workflows;
- Advanced knowledge of parametric modelling and computational design;
- Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks and deliver effectively under tight deadlines;
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to drawing quality and accuracy;
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach, with a willingness to share knowledge and develop capability across the team.
