Department Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is housed within the College of Arts & Sciences, the largest academic unit at Drake University. The department offers programs in:

Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and Philosophy and Religion, seek an adjunct instructor to teach a course (in-person) in Digital Ethics in the Fall 2026 semester.

The Digital Ethics course is targeted at:

  • Students in technology majors

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree (or higher) in:
    • Computer science
    • Philosophy
    • Law
    • Public policy
    • Information systems
    • Or a related discipline
  • Ability to engage students in thoughtful discussions about the ethical challenges posed by modern technology.

Job Duties

  • Teach in person on Drake’s Des Moines campus on Mondays & Wednesdays, 12:30–1:45 PM, during the Fall 2026 semester.
