Website Designer Remote | Contract | $150-$200/hr | Up to 40 hrs/week

Role Snapshot

A rare contract opportunity for a world-class website designer to contribute high-quality training data and design evaluations for a frontier research project. This role is focused exclusively on website and digital experience design portfolios demonstrating excellence in UX/UI, marketing sites, editorial platforms, and digital products are essential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating, reviewing, and evaluating high-quality website design examples and digital experiences to support a frontier research initiative
  • Applying expert-level knowledge of visual design, user experience, and contemporary web standards to critically assess the quality, usability, and execution of modern websites
  • Designing and contributing production-ready digital experiences across marketing sites, editorial platforms, interactive experiences, and web-based products
  • Working with responsive web design principles and modern design systems to produce polished, high-calibre outputs
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary context to deliver work that meets the standards of leading global design studios
  • Contributing consistently high-quality work, with strong performance increasing selection for future project engagements

Who We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in website and digital experience design, with a portfolio demonstrating world-class UX/UI, marketing sites, editorial platforms, or interactive digital products
  • Background designing for leading technology companies, global brands, startups, or cultural institutions at a recognised digital design studio
  • Proven ability to apply responsive web design principles and contribute to modern design systems at a professional level
  • Experience critically evaluating digital work against contemporary standards of visual quality, usability, and execution
  • Candidates with prior experience at Pentagram, AKQA, DesignStudio, Koto, ustwo, or a comparable leading UK-based digital design studio are strongly preferred
  • An exceptional portfolio is required; candidates without demonstrable website design work will not be considered.
