Digital Forensics Case Managemrnt Assistant
Digital Forensics & eDiscovery Team Assistant
Computer Forensics Lab Ltd · Finchley, London N3 (on-site) Full-time · Permanent
About Us
Computer Forensics Lab Ltd (CFL) is an established digital forensics and eDiscovery practice based in North London, operating since 2007. We work across civil litigation, criminal defence, corporate investigations, and incident response, providing expert witness services to solicitors, corporations, and private clients throughout the UK. Our work regularly features in Crown Court proceedings and high-profile commercial disputes.
The Role
We are looking for a tech-savvy, well-spoken, customer-facing assistant to support our digital forensics and eDiscovery team. You will be the first point of contact for many of our clients — solicitors, corporate counsel, and private individuals — so confidence, discretion, and professionalism are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as first point of contact for corporate and private clients by phone, email, and in person
- Taking initial case enquiries, gathering key details, and scheduling consultations with our forensic experts
- Assisting the forensic team with case administration: evidence intake and logging, chain-of-custody documentation, and case file management
- Preparing quotations, engagement letters, and correspondence
- Supporting eDiscovery workflows, including document handling and production tracking
- Coordinating with instructing solicitors, courts, and third parties on deadlines and deliverables
- General office and diary management for a busy expert witness practice

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
