E-commerce & Digital Growth Lead

📍 Central London (Office-Based)
💰 £70,000 - £80,000 + Exceptional Career Progression

Build the Digital Engine Behind One of the UK's Fastest-Growing Retail Brands

This isn't your typical marketing leadership role.
We're looking for someone who wants to build, not maintain.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll take complete ownership of the company's digital presence, helping shape the future of a retail brand with ambitious growth plans.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the perfect time, where your ideas, creativity and commercial thinking will directly influence the growth of the business.

Initially, this is a hands-on role. As the company scales, so will your team and responsibilities.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially-minded digital leader who enjoys rolling their sleeves up.

You'll take ownership of the entire digital function, combining e-commerce, website optimisation, marketing, social media, content creation and creative direction to drive profitable online growth.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a large team or simply manage agencies.

You'll be the person making things happen.

As the business grows, you'll recruit and develop your own multidisciplinary team across digital marketing, e-commerce, UX, creative and social media.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the company's digital growth strategy from end to end.
  • Managing and continually improving the Shopify e-commerce website.
  • Developing customer acquisition and retention strategies across digital channels.
  • Creating a website experience that looks, feels and performs exceptionally.
  • Driving profitable online revenue through continuous optimisation.
  • Creating engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Managing day-to-day social media activity, including content creation, posting and community engagement.
  • Increasing brand awareness through creative organic marketing campaigns.
  • Running email and SMS marketing campaigns.
  • Supporting paid advertising activity where appropriate while helping expand the company's organic marketing strategy.
  • Working closely with an external Shopify development agency to prioritise website improvements and functionality.
  • Analysing website performance and customer behaviour to improve conversion rates.
  • Working directly with the CEO to identify opportunities, challenge existing thinking and continually improve the customer experience.
  • Building and leading your own digital team as the business continues to grow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Digital Channels You'll Own

You'll have responsibility across the company's entire digital ecosystem, including:

  • Shopify website
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • TikTok
  • LinkedIn
  • Email marketing
  • SMS campaigns
  • Klaviyo
  • Organic social media
  • Paid digital advertising (where appropriate)

Whilst paid advertising forms part of the strategy, the business sees significant opportunity to further develop its organic reach and build an engaged digital community.

About You

We're far more interested in what you've built than what your job title says.

You'll probably have experience:

  • Growing an e-commerce business through Shopify.
  • Personally building or significantly developing a Shopify website.
  • Turning online traffic into profitable revenue.
  • Owning digital marketing and social media rather than simply managing agencies.
  • Creating engaging digital content.
  • Working within retail or consumer-facing businesses with both physical stores and online sales.
  • Improving customer journeys and conversion rates.
  • Working within fast-moving start-ups or scale-up environments.
  • Building processes rather than inheriting them.

You don't need to be an expert graphic designer or software developer, but you should understand enough to confidently own the customer experience and work effectively with external specialists.

The Person We're Looking For:

  • Entrepreneurial.
  • Commercially minded.
  • Hungry to succeed.
  • Creative and full of ideas.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • Resourceful and happy working independently.
  • Resilient in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excited by building something rather than maintaining it.
  • Passionate about creating an outstanding online customer experience.

If you've started your own business, helped build a growing brand or have experience creating something from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join?

Few opportunities offer this level of ownership.

You'll work directly alongside an entrepreneurial CEO, helping shape every aspect of the company's digital future.

You'll have genuine autonomy, the opportunity to build your own department and the chance to play a significant role in scaling one of the UK's most exciting retail growth stories.

For the right person, this won't simply be another job, it'll be the opportunity to build a career-defining success story.
