Digital Information Manager (Full-Time, Permanent) – South Yorkshire

Equans is seeking a Digital Information Manager to drive digital transformation across project documentation and support functions. This senior role offers a competitive salary, company vehicle, and a comprehensive benefits package.
About the Role
The Digital Information Manager will oversee project documentation across multiple initiatives, implementing business transformation within support functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding document control processes, ensuring consistency and compliance across all projects
- Developing and implementing training materials to mentor document controllers
- Leading digitisation efforts, including AI adoption and systems integration
- Ensuring efficient management of EDMS platforms (Viewpoint for Projects / 4Projects)
- Supporting supplier relationships and stakeholder alignment
This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong technical, communication, and transformation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Document & Process Management
- Develop and deliver training materials for document control teams, supply chain partners, and internal staff
- Lead document control processes across complex projects/programmes
- Manage a team of document controllers, ensuring GDPR, ISO, and client compliance
- Oversee EDMS platform integration (Golden Thread, Fieldview, and 4Projects)
- Define and enforce ** проект information standards** (ISO 19650 / PAS 1192)
- Manage document workflows, approvals, and version control internally and externally
- Handle cross-disciplinary coordination (technical, BIM, engineering, IT teams)

Assurance & Handover Support
- Conduct quality assurance on submissions and transmittals
- Oversee collation of key project documentation (O&M manuals, Health & Safety files)
- Produce and interpret project reporting for leadership and stakeholders
- Mentor Document Controllers and drive continuous improvement in processes
Compliance & System Efficiency
- Ensure secure archiving and retrieval of documents per legal/regulatory standards
- Collaborate with contractors and consultants for timely, compliant submissions
- Champion AI and automation in digital transformation

Who We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Digital and information management transformation experience
- Document control expertise in construction/engineering projects
- Knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM, and EDMS platforms (4Projects preferred)
- Experience integrating Fieldview/geo-tagged records into document control systems
- Strong auditing, business process improvement, and AI adoption capabilities
- Strategic leadership and change management skills
- Exceptional stakeholder communication and team mentoring experience
- IT proficiency (MS Office Suite, advanced digital tools)
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with BSR Gateway or BIM documentation coordination
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 handover documentation
- Awareness of commercial/contractual document processes
