Digital Investigations Analyst
About the Role
Our Digital Investigations Team, renowned for its expertise in social media intelligence, has been pioneering the field for over a decade. With experience collaborating with governments, non-profit organisations, and global institutions, we specialise in helping clients understand and mitigate digital threats and online harm.
Our team operates at the forefront of digital threat analysis, leveraging innovative technology and deep industry knowledge to detect and respond effectively. We investigate beyond surface-level platform interactions—our focus is on behavioural patterns, adversarial intent, and the underlying mechanisms of social media abuse.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identifying and tracking disinformation campaigns
- Researching and attributing information operations
- Investigating state and non-state threat actors
- Monitoring real-world harm coordination
- Mapping and assessing novel technical tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and behaviours
- Deploying in-house technical capabilities for investigations
- Producing concise, contextualised threat reports aligned with our PGI house style
- Developing long-term client relationships through consistent and high-quality delivery
- Strengthening internal collaboration across teams to maintain the highest investigative standards

About You
Experience & Key Attributes
On Day One, you’ll bring:
- Hands-on experience in online research, digital investigations, or open-source intelligence (OSINT)
- A journalistic mindset: analytical curiosity, persistence, and the investigative rigor of a researcher
- The ability to write clear and concise threat assessments for strategic audiences
- A background in:
- Political science
- Journalism
- Data science
- Social research
- Fluency in a second language (other than English) is a strong advantage
