Digital Lead
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site)
Fruition are currently recruiting for an experienced Digital Lead to join a market-leading organisation operating within the utilities and infrastructure sector. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's digital future, leading transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, enhance user experience, and deliver measurable business value.
Reporting to the Head of IT & Digital, you will lead a high-performing Digital Team while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities to modernise processes, implementing innovative Microsoft-based solutions, and delivering a portfolio of digital transformation projects that support the organisation's ambition of becoming a digitally enabled leader within its sector.
The Role
This is a varied leadership position combining digital strategy, business analysis, solution design, and project delivery. You'll work across the organisation to identify opportunities for improvement, challenge existing ways of working, and deliver innovative technology solutions that create tangible business benefits.
You'll be responsible for leading the Digital Team, driving adoption of Microsoft technologies, and ensuring digital initiatives align with wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the organisation's digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Digital Team, creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Facilitate workshops and translate business requirements into practical digital solutions.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise digital solutions across Microsoft technologies.
- Drive automation and process improvement using Microsoft Power Platform and low-code technologies.
- Oversee a portfolio of digital transformation projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, user adoption, and organisational change initiatives.
- Ensure all digital solutions comply with cyber security, information governance, and data protection standards.
- Manage third-party suppliers and implementation partners.
- Champion data quality, reporting capability, and business intelligence across the organisation.

Required Skill/Experience
My client are looking for someone who combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery experience and has a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation programmes.
You'll bring experience of:
- Leading digital transformation, business change, or technology improvement programmes.
- Managing and developing digital, technical, or business systems teams.
- Delivering complex digital projects from concept through to implementation.
- Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Dataverse.
- SharePoint Online and Azure services.
- Business analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement.
- Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Building business cases, benefits realisation, and ROI measurement.
- Influencing stakeholders from operational teams through to board level.
- Managing third-party suppliers and delivery partners.

Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Microsoft Power Platform and/or Microsoft Fabric certifications.
- Agile Practitioner or Scrum Master certification.
- Business Analysis or Change Management qualifications.
- Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, or wider AI technologies.
- Utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or construction environments.
- ISO 27001, information governance, and cyber security best practice.
