Digital Learning Lead

Digital Learning Lead

You’ll be responsible for the design and delivery of learning content for our Learning Management System (LMS) and will create digital content that supports the learning needs across the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Your role will involve:

  • Translating learning content into engaging online solutions
  • Proactive management of our external eLearning platform, including:
    • Curation of content
    • Engagement building
    • Analysis of performance
  • Utilising your technical skills, passion for learning and innovation, and creative drive to produce dynamic digital learning experiences
  • Applying a clear understanding of adult learning principles to optimise learner engagement

Skills and Experience

Technical & Creative Requirements

  • Proven experience with:
    • Articulate Storyline
    • Adobe Captivate
    • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
  • Strong technical awareness, with hands-on familiarity across digital platforms and tools
  • Multimedia expertise:
    • Virtual learning environments (VLEs), blogs, infographics, articles, and video editing
    • Experience with eLearning design tools, social learning platforms, game-based learning, and simulations

Qualifications & Methodology

  • Formal qualifications in Learning & Development (L&D) OR deep understanding of:
    • Adult learning principles
    • Effective creation of diverse learning formats (e.g., storyboarding, interactive courses)

Professional Experience

  • Expertise in multisector environments, having worked with:
    • Diverse staff groups
    • A mixture of skill levels
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Designing interactive digital learning materials
    • Developing skills-based training
    • Managing multiple projects concurrently

Leadership Responsibilities

  • This role includes line management responsibilities.

Working Arrangement

  • Fixed term contract (covering family leave) until June 2027
  • Hybrid model: At least 1 day per week on average will be spent in our London office
  • Team office day is Thursday (other days flexible)
