Digital Learning Specialist
Job Description: Digital Learning Specialist (12 Month Maternity Cover)
About the Role
As a Digital Learning Specialist within our Head Office, you will make a significant impact on our in-house Talent & Development team, helping to build a truly innovative digital learning environment for NEXT employees.
Daily, you will be hands-on in designing, developing, and producing engaging digital learning content, ranging from e-learning modules and animations to interactive videos and resources. Collaborating closely with the Digital Learning Lead, subject matter experts, and stakeholders will ensure the T&D team meets project requirements and enhances the overall learning experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and technically skilled individual to push boundaries and bring fresh ideas to life while covering a 12-month maternity role.
What You’ll Take On
- Design, develop, and produce a wide range of engaging learning resources, including:
- Adobe Express PDFs
- E-learning modules
- Animations
- Videos
- Interactive content
- Support the day-to-day administration of our Learning Experience Platform (Thrive Learning), including uploading, organising, and maintaining content.
- Produce accurate reports using the Thrive reporting suite and create L&D data dashboards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues or design challenges related to e-learning content and digital platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with new e-learning trends, tools, and best practices, contributing ideas for continuous improvement and engaging learning solutions.

What You’ll Bring
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in creating and editing engaging e-learning content.
- Practical experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (LXP).
- Proficient in G-Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- InDesign
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Premier Pro
- After Effects
- Adobe Express
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach to meet both learner and stakeholder needs.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively, and execute projects with attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications
- Proficiency in Articulate 360/Rise or Vyond Animation.
- Experience in video content creation and editing.
- A recognised L&D qualification (e.g., CIPD or LPI).
