Job Title: Digital Manager
Location: Bu1 Digital team (Retail sector client)
About the Role
We are looking for a Digital Manager to join our Bu1 Digital team, working with a market-leading client in the retail sector.
The Digital Manager will lead the day-to-day planning, strategy, and optimisation work towards KPIs to drive client growth and boost efficiency targets. This role demands a self-motivated individual, capable of managing their schedule as well as that of their team members, with advanced expertise in digital channels—including Display, YouTube, and Online Video—and their role in achieving business goals.
The role reports to the Digital Associate Director, with oversight from the Digital Director.

Measures of Success
First 3 Months
You’ll demonstrate you’re:
- Fully embedded in the client’s business goals and digital contribution
- The day-to-day liaison for both internal and external clients
- Aligned on client objectives and KPIs, constantly working toward optimisation
Six Months In
You should have delivered:
- Project success for short- and long-term digital strategy
- A Testing & Learning framework
- Collaborative media plans with PPC and Paid Social Account Managers in conjunction with cross-market briefing processes
- Staffing ideas that challenge the status quo and drive improvement

Key Responsibilities
Digital Planning & Campaign Management Expertise
- Drive in-depth digital planning and campaign oversight
- Cost-per-conversion tracking as first priority
- Media planning and forecasting to adapt as targets shift
- Understand how other media channels work in conjunction with digital
- Process-driven mindset from budget management to brief writing
- Cross-market coordination to deliver impactful digital campaigns
- Reporting analysis and optimisation to constantly improve performance
Team Leadership
- Collaborate with the Digital Associate Director to evolve digital strategy via beta tests and data-driven insights
- Manage Team workflows and lead skill development for direct reports
- Share learnings and best practices with a global 50-strong digital community
Internal & External Communication
- Serve as point of contact for weekly client, media partners, and internal stakeholder communications
- Create simplified client updates that clarify and reassure on complex topics
- Lead brief responses and post-campaign analysis presentations
Technology & Systems Expertise
- Websight, comScore, IRIS from IPSOS, and Google Ads Reach Planner
- Google Ads and related trafficking experience

What You’ll Need for Success
- Strong self-starter with passion for Digital Media and the ability to adapt quickly
- Hands-on digital media experience in a media agency/owner/client environment
- Deep digital channel understanding (DR, Paid Search, Paid Social, Partnerships, and Analytics)
- Proficiency in the evolution of programmatic, including Display and Video channelling
- Strength in media platforms (DSPs, Social Ads tools, Viewability, Analytics, Attribution, Ad Serving)
- CRM and 1st-party data workflows from implementation to segmentation/reporting
- Strong narrative skills—storytelling initiatives, roles, ad placements, and their relativity
- Cross-channel strategy in offline to digital linking
- Effective presentations and concise communication (both verbal and written)
- Team leadership experience with abilities to mentor and coach
- Creative, inspiring, and outcome-driven mindset
- Exceptional attention to detail
