About the Role
Yawn Marketing, part of the Jarrold Group, is a forward-thinking marketing agency in Norwich seeking a passionate marketing generalist to join their growing team as a Digital Marketing Consultant.
This is an exciting time for us following our acquisition by the Jarrold Group in 2024, and we’re expanding our capability to deliver innovative, high-impact campaigns for local and national clients, as well as serving our expanding in-house portfolio. We’re looking for a versatile, proactive, and results-driven professional who can seamlessly integrate into our team, contributing both strategically and operationally to shape our future and exceed client expectations.
This role is ideal for:
- Marketing executives eager to take the next step.
- Experienced marketers who embrace hands-on delivery while retaining strategic influence.
About You
To thrive as a Digital Marketing Consultant at Yawn, you’ll bring a mix of imagination, precision, and initiative. Our clients value innovation, attention to detail, and a creative mind—but we also need someone who’s grounded, data-informed, and action-oriented. Ideal qualities include:
- A strong team spirit – our success is built on collaboration, with everyone pulling together.
- An eye for detail – from spotless copy to flawless designs and immaculate data.
- Endless creativity – marketing is all about ideas. You should know what a great one looks like.
- Exceptional communication – from drafting compelling copy to engaging with clients and stakeholders.
- An enterprising attitude – proactive thinkers who seek opportunities and drive growth.
- Versatility – adaptability to evolving trends and skills to meet shifting needs.
- An analytical mind – interpreting data to guide decisions—think spreadsheets, not math assignments.
- Ruthless organisation – managing multiple deadlines, tasks, and priorities effortlessly.
Role Overview
This hybrid strategic and operational position sits within Yawn’s service delivery team, where you’ll strategise, execute, and deepen digital marketing efforts across channels—including email, social media, SEO, content, paid ads, and website updates—for a diverse client portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
