Job Summary

The Digital Marketing & Content Executive is responsible for managing and growing The Fat Duck Group's digital presence across all channels. Working closely with Head of Marketing and Communications, this person will lead all aspects of social media management, content creation, copywriting and digital marketing - ensuring a consistent, compelling brand voice for The Fat Duck and The Hind's Head.

This role requires a highly creative, organised and proactive individual who understands luxury hospitality storytelling and can work independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Own and manage all social media channels for The Fat Duck and The Hind's Head, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube and any emerging platforms
  • Develop and maintain monthly content calendars aligned with restaurant activity, seasonal campaigns and key dates
  • Monitor all channels daily, responding to comments, messages and mentions in a timely and brand-appropriate manner
  • Identify new platform opportunities, trends and features to grow audience reach and engagement
  • Track, analyse and report on social media performance monthly, presenting insights and recommendations to Head of Marketing and Communications

Content Creation & Editing

  • Create, produce and edit all digital content across photo, video, reels, stories and static formats
  • Conduct professional photography and videography across all venues - capturing dishes, behind-the-scenes moments, events, team activity and media engagement
  • Edit and retouch all imagery and video to the highest standard, maintaining visual consistency and brand quality
  • Manage relationships with external production companies and freelancers when required, including briefing, creative direction and quality control
  • Maintain an organised and accessible library of all digital assets
  • Internal team content creation such as HR campaigns, internal comms and team initiatives

Copywriting & Brand Voice

  • Write compelling, on-brand copy across all channels and formats - including social captions, website copy, email campaigns, press materials and marketing collateral
  • Develop and protect the distinct brand voice for The Fat Duck and The Hind's Head, ensuring consistency across all external communications
  • Adapt tone and style appropriately across different platforms and audiences while remaining true to each brand's identity

Digital Marketing & Campaigns

  • Plan, write, design and deploy EDMs for both brands, including newsletters, promotional campaigns and event communications
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of digital marketing campaigns, from concept through to execution and post-campaign analysis
  • Work with Head of Marketing and Communication to develop campaign strategies that support commercial objectives and brand positioning
  • Assist with other departmental duties where necessary

Design & Marketing Collateral

  • Create and edit marketing collateral across both brands, including menus, event materials, promotional assets, printed and digital communications
  • Produce design work to a professional standard using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar tool
  • Ensure all designed materials are consistent with brand guidelines and reflect the quality and aesthetic of The Fat Duck and The Hind's Head
  • Liaise with print suppliers and external partners as required to deliver collateral on time and to specification

Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide regular statistics and analysis across all digital media activity
  • Create monthly digital reports for each restaurant against agreed goals and objectives
  • Use data to continuously improve content strategy and digital delivery

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation and digital marketing - ideally within hospitality or luxury lifestyle
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a strong instinct for tone of voice and storytelling
  • Proficient in photo and video editing; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, InDesign or equivalent
  • Experience managing EDM platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, SevenRooms)
  • Confident managing relationships with external agencies and production companies
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A genuine passion for food, hospitality and the world of The Fat Duck Group
