Digital Marketing Coordinator (Caledonian Horticulture)
Working pattern: Hybrid 3 days per week (7.5 hrs/day | 22.5 hrs/week) Location: Primarily working from home, with some in-office days across Central Scotland Salary: £30,000 FTE / £18,000 pro rata Overtime: Potential during peak spring/summer (events & filming projects)

Forth Resource Management powers Caledonian Horticulture, a peat-free compost and soil improvement company based in Scotland. We transform recycled green waste into high-quality gardening products while championing sustainability through the circular economy.
Our One Planet Pledge drives action—fuel offsetting, tree planting, and tackling plastic pollution through initiatives like The Scottish Coastal Clean Up. In 2025, we proudly produced Shaping Our Shores, a documentary celebrating coastal protection efforts.

The Role
We’re expanding Caledonian Horticulture’s marketing for 2026–2027, seeking a creative and proactive Digital Marketing Coordinator to craft engaging content across digital channels.
Key focus areas: ✔ Social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) – campaigns, branding, community growth ✔ Newsletter & email marketing – news, promotions, list segmentation ✔ Content strategy – blog posts, SEO, on-brand assets ✔ Collaboration – align with Head of Marketing and Sales & Marketing Assistant

You’ll plan content calendars, execute campaigns, analyse metrics, and refine performance—driving both engagement and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Campaign Delivery
- Plan, schedule, and publish Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn content (posts, stories, video)
- Monitor engagement, respond to queries, and escalate issues when needed
- Align content with seasonal events, product launches, and storytelling efforts
- Maintain brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visual style
Design & Content Creation
- Create on-brand assets (social, email, blog) using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Support basic video editing for short-form campaigns
- Assist in photography/filming for content capture during in-office days
Email Marketing
- Craft, design, and send customer newsletters (copywriting, scheduling, analytics)
- Manage subscriber lists and test campaigns for optimisation

Website & Blog
- Write SEO-optimised blog posts for Caledonian Horticulture’s site
- Ensure content adheres to SEO best practices (keywords, structure, link-building)
Reporting & Optimisation
- Track performance through analytics tools and provide actionable insights
- Share learnings to improve future campaigns
Events
- Support event marketing (materials, lead capture, competitions)
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content strategy
- Excellent writing (captions, newsletters, blog content)
- Strong design skills with Canva and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign preferred
- Hands-on experience with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn best practices
- Ability to managing deadlines, working independently, and collaborating remotely
- Familiarity with MS Teams and HubSpot for internal workflows
- Bonus: Passions in sustainability, gardening, or outdoor living
