Through robust and efficient implementation of the quality strategy and processes, the Digital Marketing & Data IQA will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at upholding quality, consistency, and fairness throughout the learners apprenticeship journey.
The Role…
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Internal Quality Assurer to uphold the highest standards of assessment and quality assurance across our Digital Marketing and Data programmes. Reporting into our Quality Manager, this pivotal role involves ensuring that our assessment practices are consistent, valid, and reliable, aligning with both internal criteria and awarding organisation requirements.

Key Responsibilities…
- Conduct regular reviews and observations of assessments, providing constructive feedback to assessors to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Through meticulous sampling, monitor and evaluate assessment practices against awarding body requirements and internal quality criteria, ensuring consistency.
- Track learner progress and ensure assessments are planned, prepared for, and carried out according to agreed procedures.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and GDPR compliant records for all assessment and IQA activities.
- Identify trainer/mentor development needs and facilitate their development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment.
- Engage with academic staff to develop and refine assessment processes, contributing to the enhancement of the learner experience.
- Oversee the EPA process, including reviewing portfolios and assessing the appropriateness of the final assessments against the standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications…
- Experience as an IQA within further education or training environments.
- Qualification or substantial occupational competence in Digital Marketing, Social Media for E-Commerce, Data or Project Management at Level 3 or above.
- Strong knowledge of digital/IT qualifications at Level 2 (Gateway – Extended Certificate) and Level 4 (Agored – Digital Product Management).
- Proficiency with remote quality assurance tools and platforms (digital portfolios, LMS, conferencing tools).
- Demonstrable experience in quality assurance within apprenticeship or training programmes.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and support colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
