Digital Marketing Executive

The Role: Digital Marketing Executive

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Executive to support multi-channel B2B marketing initiatives within a fast-paced organisation. This role involves planning, executing, and optimising campaigns across email, social media, websites, and paid channels.

Who we’re looking for

  • An individual with a solid foundation in marketing eager to grow expertise in a scientific or technical sector, or
  • A scientific professional looking to develop commercial marketing skills.

Location: Nottingham, UK, or Philadelphia, US.


Key Responsibilities

Email & CRM Marketing

  • Manage inbound digital enquiries, ensuring timely routing and follow-ups
  • Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotions)
  • Draft and adapt email content aligned with campaign objectives
  • Build and update email templates in marketing automation platforms
  • Monitor email performance, test segmentation, and optimise results
  • Maintain accurate CRM and marketing database records (campaign and list management)

Social Media Marketing

  • Support digital media activities (planning, scheduling, publishing)
  • Maintain a structured content calendar linked to campaigns and events
  • Create visual and written content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Monitor engagement and escalate responses as needed

Campaign & Content Marketing

  • Collaborate on paid advertising campaigns with internal/external stakeholders
  • Contribute to blog/web content aligned with SEO best practices
  • Update website content via CMS (landing pages, blogs)
  • Conduct keyword and competitor research for optimisation
  • Compile and analyse cross-channel performance data

Collaboration and General Responsibilities

  • Work with internal stakeholders and experts
  • Ensure branding, compliance, and quality standards are met
  • Support market/competitor insight reports
  • Leverage AI tools for content efficiency
  • Provide broader marketing team support as required

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in marketing, marketing support, or sales administration
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles (email, social media)
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation, communication, and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and data handling proficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Desirable

  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related sectors
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Pardot, HubSpot)
  • Google Analytics and digital reporting tools experience
  • PPC advertising experience
  • Canva/Adobe Creative Suite proficiency

Learning Opportunities
