Digital Marketing Executive

The Role: Digital Marketing Executive

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Executive to support multi-channel B2B marketing initiatives within a fast-paced organisation. This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the planning, execution, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns
  • Develop content and support campaign execution across email, social media, websites, and paid channels

Ideal for individuals with:

  • A solid foundation in marketing (or scientific background looking to build commercial skills)
  • Keen interest in growing expertise in a scientific/technical environment

Location: Nottingham, UK, or Philadelphia, US


Key Responsibilities

Email & CRM Marketing

  • Manage inbound digital enquiries with timely routing and follow-ups
  • Plan, create, and execute email campaigns (newsletters and promotions)
  • Draft adaptable email content aligned with campaign objectives
  • Build and update email templates in marketing automation platforms
  • Monitor email performance, testing segmentation, and optimisation
  • Maintain CRM and marketing databases, including campaign tracking

Social Media Marketing

  • Support day-to-day activity: content planning, scheduling, and publishing
  • Maintain a structured content calendar for campaigns/events
  • Create visual and written content (e.g., via Canva or Adobe)
  • Monitor engagement and escalate responses as needed

Campaign & Content Marketing

  • Collaborate on digital advertising campaigns with internal/external partners
  • Assist with blog and website content creation (SEO compliance)
  • Update online listings, business profiles, and CMS-driven content
  • Conduct keyword and competitor research for optimisation
  • Analyse performance data to compile channel reports

Collaboration & General Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with brand, compliance, and quality standards
  • Contribute to market/competitor insights reports
  • Support AI tool integration for content development
  • Provide broader marketing team assistance as required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in:
    • Marketing, marketing support, or sales administration
    • Understanding digital marketing (email/social) principles
  • Strong organisation, multitasking, and priority management
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively

Desirable Skills

  • Life sciences/healthcare experience
  • CRM systems (Salesforce) experience
  • Marketing automation (Pardot, HubSpot)
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and digital reporting tools
  • Experience with PPC advertising, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
