About The Role
The Borgen Project is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting various initiatives aimed at reducing global poverty. You will coordinate efforts across different departments, engage with stakeholders, and ensure the successful implementation of projects aligned with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for social justice, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that influence policy and bring about tangible change in vulnerable communities worldwide.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international development, public policy, or a related field. Prior experience in nonprofit management, advocacy, or project coordination is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations. Strong organizational and time-management skills are required to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools is expected. A genuine passion for addressing global poverty and a commitment to the organization’s mission are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various projects aimed at reducing global poverty
- Developing project timelines
- Coordinating with internal teams and external partners
- Ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
- Facilitating communication between stakeholders
- Preparing detailed reports
- Assisting in the development of fundraising and advocacy campaigns
- Supporting the organization’s outreach efforts by engaging with community groups, policymakers, and media outlets to raise awareness about poverty issues
- Monitoring and evaluating project outcomes to ensure continuous improvement
- Staying informed about global development trends
- Contributing to strategic planning sessions
