Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing & Learner Recruitment Manager to join our dynamic Learner Recruitment, Progression & Partnerships Directorate.
This pivotal role offers the chance to lead a high-performing digital marketing and recruitment team, shaping how learners engage with our colleges and ensuring our provision reaches, inspires and supports learners across Further Education, Higher Education, Work Based Learning and commercial markets.

About the Role
As Digital Marketing & Learner Recruitment Manager, you will provide leadership for all digital marketing, branding and recruitment activity across Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion.
You will lead the development and delivery of evidence-based learner recruitment strategies, ensuring our campaigns are inclusive, bilingual and aligned to our strategic priorities. Acting as a brand guardian, you will ensure consistency of tone, message and visual identity across all platforms, while continuously improving our digital presence and user experience.
The role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership, digital innovation and strong stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams, partners and external agencies, and will regularly represent the colleges at events and public-facing engagements.
No two days are the same in this fast-paced and influential role, which spans all seven campuses and a wide range of learner markets.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and line management to the Digital Marketing & Learner Recruitment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and professional development
- Leading the development and delivery of the College’s Recruitment Strategy across FE, HE, WBL and commercial provision
- Designing and delivering targeted, data-driven recruitment campaigns that widen participation and support progression
- Acting as the College’s brand guardian, ensuring consistent and high-quality marketing and communications across all channels
- Leading digital optimisation, including HubSpot, Google Analytics, paid advertising, KPI dashboards and campaign reporting
- Using insight and analytics to evaluate impact, demonstrate ROI and inform senior decision-making
- Overseeing learner journey communications from enquiry through to enrolment and transition
- Planning and delivering recruitment events including open days, taster events, fairs and awards
- Managing external suppliers and media partners to ensure value for money and high-quality outputs
- Supporting the Executive Team with public-facing communications, events and external engagement
- Building strong partnerships with schools, employers, Careers Wales, UWTSD and regional stakeholders

What You Will Need
Welsh Language Requirements:
- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 2 Essential
- Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 2 Essential

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree-level qualification in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Fluency in Welsh and English, with the ability to operate professionally in both languages
- Proven experience of leading and managing marketing or learner recruitment activity within a complex organisation
- Strong digital capability, including analytics, CRM systems, campaign reporting and performance tracking
- Experience of leading teams, managing budgets and working with external suppliers
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage at senior level
- Professional marketing qualifications, leadership qualifications and certification in relevant digital platforms are desirable but not essential.
