Digital Marketing Manager
Deputy Head of PPC | Greater Manchester | Hybrid (2 days in office) | £40,000 – £50,000
A fast-growing performance marketing agency is looking for a Deputy Head of PPC to join their expanding Paid Media team in Greater Manchester.
This is a senior leadership role sitting just below Head of PPC, offering the opportunity to shape strategy, lead key client accounts, and play a central role in the continued growth of the paid media function.
The agency works across PPC, SEO, Paid Social and Digital PR, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from local businesses through to large national and international brands.
The Role You will work closely with the Head of PPC and senior leadership team to: Lead strategy across key PPC accounts (Google Ads & Microsoft Ads) Oversee performance across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display and YouTube Take ownership of high-value client relationships and campaign performance Support and mentor PPC Executives and Managers Contribute to new business pitches and strategic proposals Drive innovation across automation, AI and performance optimisation Ensure campaigns deliver strong commercial outcomes (leads, revenue, ROAS)

About You 5+ years’ experience in PPC / Paid Media roles Strong Google Ads and Microsoft Ads expertise Proven experience managing large-budget, performance-led campaigns Confident in client-facing and stakeholder management situations Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members Strong commercial mindset focused on business outcomes, not just platform metrics Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment Understanding of wider digital channels including SEO, Paid Social and CRO
