About Universal Container Services
Universal Container Services Ltd is one of the UK's leading suppliers of shipping containers, container conversions, and container accessories. With a rapidly expanding online presence and ambitious growth plans, we're investing heavily in our digital capabilities and building an in-house marketing team to support the next phase of the business.
We're looking for an experienced, commercially focused Digital Marketing Manager to lead this journey.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to build and shape the digital marketing function within a growing business.
Whilst the role is predominantly focused on digital marketing, you will also oversee wider marketing activities across the business, ensuring a consistent, professional brand presence in everything we do.
Working closely with the Sales Director and senior leadership team, you'll develop and implement marketing strategies that generate enquiries, support sales growth, and strengthen the Universal Container Services brand.
As the department grows, you'll play a key role in developing the team, processes, and overall marketing strategy.

- Develop and deliver the company's digital marketing strategy.
- Manage SEO, PPC, and paid advertising alongside external agencies.
- Increase website traffic, enquiries, and online sales.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
