The Role

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Digital Marketing Manager to join our strategic consultancy on a freelance and contract basis, starting immediately.

Working closely with a small, high-performing and creative team, the role will lead the planning, delivery and optimisation of digital marketing activity across APRIL TAYLOR and selected client accounts. This includes developing digital strategies, managing websites, social media, email marketing and paid campaigns, while continually identifying opportunities to improve engagement, lead generation and commercial performance.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable thinking strategically and delivering hands-on execution, using data and insight to optimise performance and ensure all digital activity supports wider brand and commercial objectives.

This is a varied consultancy role offering genuine responsibility from day one. It would suit someone with strong digital expertise, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a digital marketing role at manager level, ideally within the property, placemaking, architecture or the built environment sectors
  • Proven experience developing and delivering integrated digital marketing strategies across multiple channels
  • Able to take ownership of projects from day one, managing delivery across agencies, freelancers and client stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of CMS and CRM platforms, SEO, email marketing, social media management and paid digital campaigns
  • Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) and other digital reporting tools, with the ability to analyse performance, identify opportunities and make data-led recommendations
  • Excellent copywriting and content planning skills, with experience creating and optimising digital content across multiple platforms
  • Confident using AI tools to support marketing workflows, content creation, research and campaign optimisation while maintaining quality and brand standards
  • Advanced capability across Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel, with the ability to produce polished, well-structured client reports
  • Highly organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities across several client accounts simultaneously
  • Commercially aware, analytical and comfortable working independently within a fast-moving consultancy environment
