Digital Marketing Manager - The Orchard

Digital Marketing & Advertising Strategist — Music (Electronic/Dance/Soundtracks/Classical/Catalogue/Jazz)

We are seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Digital Marketing & Advertising Strategist to join our UK team at [Company Name]. This role will focus on delivering high-level marketing services for our label and artist clients, spanning Electronic, Dance, Soundtracks, Classical, Catalogue, and Jazz. The ideal candidate will design and execute strategic, always-on marketing campaigns to generate publicity, awareness, and revenue—building audiences, managing CRM strategies, and driving fan engagement for new releases and existing catalogues.

The position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Strategy, while receiving direct project oversight from the Relationship Lead. Teams operate from our London, Kings Cross office Mon–Thu, with Fri worked remotely.


About the Role

The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and implementing data-driven, creativity-led marketing strategies across digital platforms to enhance artist and label visibility, drive engagement, and boost sales.


Key Responsibilities

Label & Artist Communication

  • Serve as the primary digital marketing point of contact for assigned labels and artists.
  • Lead discussions on marketing strategies, campaign planning, data collection, CRM execution, and performance evaluation within online spaces.
  • Facilitate alignment on campaign objectives and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.

Creativity & Innovation

  • Conceptualize, develop, and execute cutting-edge marketing campaigns to stay ahead in audience growth and discovery.
  • Identify and leverage emerging trends and tools across digital platforms.

Strategic Oversight & Campaign Execution

  • Oversee high-priority release campaigns for artists and labels, focusing on aligned marketing initiatives.
  • Use data and performance metrics to inform decisions and refine strategies in real time.
  • Stay current with platform updates (social media, ads) and incorporate them into campaign execution.

Performance Analysis & Audience Growth

  • Analyze the impact of campaigns to identify high-performing audience segments, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Drive demand through CRM strategies, audience building, community engagement, and fan growth tactics.
  • Translate insights into actionable improvements for pre- and post-release strategies.

Partnerships & External Collaboration

  • Explore internal resources and external partners to enhance campaign effectiveness (e.g., influencers, platforms, technologies).
  • Foster strong relationships with fan communities to expand reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with global market teams to identify key cultural touchpoints for audience acquisition and engagement.

Project Management & Problem-Solving

  • Maintain flexible adaptability when handling sudden priorities outside established workflows.
  • Manage multiple concurrent campaigns with tight deadlines while balancing precision and strategic vision.
  • Troubleshoot challenges proactively, ensuring campaigns stay on track.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in digital marketing, with a focus on the music industry (or equivalent field).
  • Proven record of successful campaign development and execution, demonstrating measurable results.
  • Passion for the music business and a desire to build a long-term career in digital marketing for music.
  • Experience with paid digital advertising across key platforms like:
    • Meta (Facebook & Instagram Ads Manager)
    • Google Ads
    • TikTok Ads
  • Deep understanding of social media trends (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter/X, Instagram Reels, BeReal).
  • Familiarity with digital service providers (e.g., Medium, Chartmetric, Loudr, CreatorIQ) and how they amplify music discovery for artists.
  • Analytical proficiency in interpreting tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or CRM platforms.
  • Basic technical skills in Photoshop, HTML (for simple front-end tasks), and video editing is preferred (not mandatory but advantageous).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between artists, labels, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, including multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail, to manage competitive deadlines and complex workflows.
