Role Summary
Position: Permanent | Full Time (36 hours per week) Salary: £34,610 per annum Location: St Mary’s University
This Digital Marketing Officer (Tech Lead) role is dedicated to managing and enhancing St Mary’s University’s digital channels, particularly:
- The university website
- CMS (Content Management System)
- Live chat systems
- CRM-related tools
- MySMU app
The role combines digital marketing, content creation, website development, analytics, and platform support.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of digital requests and queries
- Content publication and enhancement across all digital platforms
- Collaboration with suppliers to deliver new features, management enhancements, and improvements
- Commitment to accessibility and industry best practices
- Assessing and optimising performance via tools such as:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Google Search Console
- Reporting dashboards

The postholder will work closely with the Digital Team within Marketing and Communications, supporting broader university objectives, specifically:
- Student recruitment
- Digital engagement initiatives
A full website redevelopment is underway, offering the ideal candidate the opportunity to work hands-on from design through implementation—a significant, ground-up project.
