About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Content Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality educational content across various platforms. Your expertise will contribute to Pearson’s mission of delivering engaging and effective learning materials that cater to diverse learning styles and educational needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, leveraging your skills to influence educational outcomes for learners worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in content creation, a passion for education, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing digital landscapes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Communications, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in content development, instructional design, or related roles within the education or publishing industry.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in digital content management systems and authoring tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and curriculum standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of emerging educational technologies and trends in digital learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and curate engaging, accurate, and pedagogically sound educational content for various platforms, including online courses, textbooks, and multimedia resources.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and graphic designers to create cohesive and effective learning materials.
  • Review and update existing content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with current curriculum standards.
  • Utilize digital tools and content management systems to organize and publish materials efficiently.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of content quality and consistency.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance content delivery and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and pedagogical trends to continually improve content development processes.
  • Support training and development initiatives by providing expertise on content-related matters.
