Digital Marketing Specialist, Paid Media
This role aligns to industry titles such as Paid Media Executive, Performance Marketing Executive.
Job Summary
Support the Paid Media team by independently planning, executing, and optimising digital campaigns across paid search and social channels. Deliver accurate reporting, maintain campaign documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with Canadian and Australian education markets is a plus, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage paid media campaigns (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Bing and emerging platforms) following Pearson’s playbook and compliance guidelines.
- Optimise ad creatives and copy, liaising with global brand for approvals and portfolio marketing teams on campaign strategy.
- Track and update campaign budgets, ensuring alignment with seasonal plans.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and flag issues for review.
- Maintain budget tracking spreadsheets, campaign documentation, and handle administrative tasks (expenses, POs, invoices).
- Prepare and deliver performance reports, collate data from GA4, CRM, and ad platforms, and manage stakeholder-facing dashboards.
- Collaborate with CRM, analytics, and marketing teams for robust tracking and insights.
- Support campaign handovers and continuity during leave periods.

- Paid Media Platform Expertise: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads; familiarity with emerging platforms (Reddit, TikTok, Spotify, Snapchat, Quora) is a plus but not essential.
- Marketing Analytics: Measure, analyse, and optimise campaign performance using GA4, CRM, and ad platforms.
- Marketing Automation: Streamline campaign execution and reporting with automation tools and AI functionality.
- Data Stewardship & Ethics: Ensure accurate, compliant, and ethical handling of campaign and customer data.
- Budget Management: Track, update, and report on campaign budgets with strong attention to detail.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with CRM, analytics, and marketing teams for robust tracking and insights.
- Adaptability: Adjust priorities and approaches in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of education (qualifications and resources) and edtech market contexts and business goals.
- Communication Skills: Liaise clearly with internal portfolio marketing teams and other stakeholders.
Qualifications (Education & Experience)
- Proven experience in paid media execution roles.
- Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads; bonus for Reddit, TikTok, Spotify, Snapchat, Quora.
- Proficiency in Excel, marketing analytics and data handling.
- Experience in Canadian and Australian education markets is a “nice to have.”
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Work Location & Flexibility
This role can be performed on a hybrid basis. Pearson has office locations across the UK, including London, Manchester, and Oxford. You’ll have flexibility to work from home or collaborate in-person, depending on your preference and team needs.
